The Northumberland District ATV Riders Club (northumberlandatvriders.com) has generously donated $1,197.20 to Northumberland Food For Thought (NFFT) in support of Student Nutrition Programs (SNP) across the county. The funds were raised at the club’s annual fundraising ride. The NDATV Riders Club has a strong and longstanding history of supporting NFFT.

Northumberland Food For Thought is the non-profit community partnership that supports Student Nutrition Programs in Northumberland County. These free, voluntary programs provide nutritious food to thousands of students every day. “Research shows that student nutrition programs help support academic success by removing a major barrier to learning—hunger,” adds Kimberly Leadbeater, Registered Dietitian for Lakelands Public Health and Chair of NFFT.
Along with the support of area residents, businesses, and groups such as the Northumberland District ATV Riders Club, local Student Nutrition Programs also receive funding from the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services through its lead agency, Peterborough Child & Family Centres (PCFC).
