Obituary: Elwood Quinn remembered for bringing his love of farming to city dwellers

He would spend hundreds of hours a year as a volunteer, travelling to fairs, livestock shows and agricultural conferences in Quebec, Ontario and beyond. He displayed his rare breeds of horses, pigs, sheep and chickens and spoke of the importance of their preservation in order to protect Canada’s food sustainability. And he lamented the lack of funding for breed diversity from the federal government.
