Peter Mant, another West Islander, saw this boom coming. The owner of six restos, mainly in the city, set up a seventh — Lou’s Pointe-Claire on Lakeshore Rd. — nearly two years ago and couldn’t be more thrilled with his decision. Lou’s is a “new American-styled diner” co-owned by Mant and earned its name in tribute of nearby, revitalized Lac St-Louis, which took its share of abuse in years gone by.
