TRENT HILLS — Martha Hunt, Chair of the Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) Foundation, has announced the launch of the 19th Annual Angels of Care Campaign, focused on funding new medical equipment for the Laboratory, Endoscopy Program, Diagnostic Imaging Department, and on enhancing patient comfort throughout CMH.

This year, the Campaign aims to raise more than $500,000 to support several high-priority hospital needs, including an ultrasound probe, vital signs monitor, two electrocardiogram (ECG) machines, and an osmometer for the Laboratory. Funds will also support renovations to the Endoscopy Recovery Area and improvements to the Accessible Tub & Shower Rooms in the In-Patient Unit of the Hospital.

“These are vital items that will ensure proper patient care and accurate diagnostics,” says Hunt. “We are now asking our community to help cover the cost of this essential equipment and the renovations needed to support patients.”

Each year, CMH cares for more than 42,000 residents, including individuals admitted to the In-Patient Unit, those receiving diagnostic tests or laboratory services, and patients visiting the Emergency Department. Community support plays a critical role in sustaining these services, as the Provincial Government does not fund the purchase of new medical equipment—making donor contributions essential.

To help inspire giving, a dedicated group of longstanding supporters known as The Matchmakers has returned, pledging up to $200,000 to match donations made to the Angels of Care Campaign.

“The Matchmakers are an extraordinary group of donors who are passionate about the hospital and committed to encouraging others to give,” Hunt adds. “We hope the community will be inspired to join them and help us purchase this important new equipment.”

Gifts made to the Angels of Care Campaign between now and December 31 will be matched dollar for dollar.
